Saxon Bullock | Writer, Journalist and Proofreader

Hi there! Welcome to the website of Saxon Bullock, author, journalist and freelance proofreader.

A Very Quick Q&A:

Who is Saxon Bullock? And is that really your real name?

I’m a 39-year-old journalist and author who also works as a freelance proofreader. I’ve been a journalist since 2000, writing about films, comics and science fiction (full details on my Journalism page), I’ve been a freelance proofreader since 2008 (for further information go here or check out my CV), and I’ve also been doing freelance editorial reports on manuscripts for the past ten years (for more information click here).

And yes, it really is my real name.

What sort of things do you write?

Journalism-wise, I write regularly for SFX, the UK’s biggest genre magazine, and I’m also one of the contributors to the upcoming reference book The Sci-Fi Chronicles. I write Science Fiction and Fantasy novels – currently unpublished, a situation I’m working towards changing – and I’m represented by the John Jarrold Literary Agency. (You can read about my various projects via the Fiction page, and also check out some short fiction and off-beat story fragments as well.)

For more information about my background, have a look at my About Me page, or you can catch up with my current activity on my blog.

Where else can we find you online?

You can follow me on Facebook, keep up with my stream-of-consciousness rambling on Twitter, or check out my strange taste in comics, art and Kaiju Gifs on Tumblr. And if you’ve got a question about writing, comics, science fiction, or anything in particular, feel free to fire it my way.

Thanks for stopping by…
