(THE WEBSITE IS CURRENTLY UNDERGOING A REFIT – APOLOGIES FOR ANY CURRENTLY BROKEN LINKS OR MISSING CONTENT. I’M HOPING TO HAVE THIS SORTED SOON!)

Hi there! Welcome to the website of Saxon Bullock, author, journalist and freelance proofreader.

I’ve been a freelance journalist since 2000, primarily working for SFX magazine, but I’ve appeared in Hotdog, Starburst, Total Film, Film4.Com and a selection of other outlets. I was also one of the contributors to the recent reference book The Sci-Fi Chronicles.

I’ve been a freelance proofreader since 2008, and have worked on a wide selection of novels for publishers like Gollancz, Orbit, Del Rey, Angry Robot, Tor UK, HarperCollins Voyager, Little, Brown and Abacus.

I write Science Fiction and Fantasy novels – currently unpublished, a situation I’m working towards changing – and I’m represented by the John Jarrold Literary Agency. I recently completed an MA in Creative Writing at The University of Manchester, passing with a merit.

I’ve worked as a freelance reader for the last thirteen years, doing editorial reports on manuscripts for major publishers and independent clients.

(I also have a YouTube channel – Narrowboat Zero Gravity – which currently deals with my adventures in the world of narrowboats, and documents my journey towards a very big life change…)

You can find full details of my work on my CV, or my What I Do page.

I’m not hugely active on social media right now, but you can follow me on Facebook, keep up with my stream-of-consciousness rambling on Twitter, or check out my strange taste in comics, art and Kaiju Gifs on Tumblr. And if you’ve got a question about writing, comics, science fiction, or anything in particular, feel free to fire it my way.

Thanks for stopping by!
